Shanghai Book Company, a publishing agency, which located at Shanghai City of China in late Qing dynasty and Early years of the Republic of China, lasted60years and published lots of books. These books are consisted by some popular literature works, utility class books, and so-called New-Learning Books etc. Because of the huge amount of publications, Shanghai Book Company played an extremely important role in the publishing industry of Shanghai District in in late Qing dynasty. But, few people pay close attention to it and there are no books or papers studying about it. In various research areas, the Shanghai Book Company is forgotten. The purpose of this paper is try to raise people’s attention to Shanghai Book Company. Through a comprehensive searching and collecting, a publications bibliography of the company was given. Based on these publications and some other studies, it tried to figure out some essential information and determine the value of the company.This paper can be divided into three parts. The first part is a preface. In this part, the general information as well as Publishing characteristics of this book company was mentioned. The second part is a bibliography of publications of Shanghai Book Company. There are about806books (1166editions) in the bibliography. They are sorted out into five parts by Chinese traditional book taxonomy. Each Enter contains some basic information of the book, such as book names, number of volume, author, publication time, Release characteristics, collection entity, information source etc. The third part is postscript.
