Ji Shuying Version Bibliography

Ji Shuying is a famous expert on the field of edition bibliography in China. Her achievements is mainly embodied in both theory and practice, and the study follows this kind of thought.Firstly, this paper analyses on academic thought of Ji Shuying. She has done research on rare books and carve workers early in China. Ji Shuying has generalized standards of rare books scientifically for the first time and analysed carve workers according to different areas. She pays attention to the origins of ancient books and has original opinion on different kinds of editions.Ji Shuying engages in arranging ancient books for ages, and she has plenty of experience and fruit in the matter of edition identification. Therefore, the part of practice is to discuss about her contents and methods of edition identification and bibliography of book edition. This paper analyses on contents and methods of edition identification which Ji Shuying uses in practice. She not only judges period and area of ancient books, but also checks their change in history. Ji Shuying makes use of information inside and outside the ancient books to identify their edition. Finally, this paper analyses Ji Shuying's bibliography of book edition. This part studies her Catalogue of Zizhuang Yankan Rare Books and Catalogue of Chinese Ancient Rare Books.
