With the country’s attaching importance to pre-school education, many policies and regulations relating to pre-school education have introduced and it effectively have ensured the vigorous development of pre-school education. In this context, more and more scholars have continued to explore and conduct the research of the psychology of pre-school children. The number of related literature and books about this field is beginning to show explosive growth.On one hand, it provides a wealth of available reference literature for the scholars engaged in pre-school education; on the other hand,it also increases the difficulty of searching and selecting the appropriate literature for scholars. Many research methods of bibliometrics can objective analysis and effective grasp the research status, the research hotspots and research trends of one discipline or one field of study, and these methods have also been gradually applied to pedagogy, psychology, and increasingly played its important role. In this research, the data resource is eight periodicals from CNKI,that is Studies in Preschool Education, Psychological Science, Psychological Development and Education, Psychological Exploration, Acta Psychological Sinica, Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology, Studies of Psychology and Behavior, Advances in Psychological Science, the analysis objects is the literature of psychology of pre-school children. Using word frequency analysis, co-word analysis and the mapping knowledge domain as the main methods and technologies, extracted the author, journal sources, research institutions and keywords from the literature during the year of1993-1999、000-2006、2007-2013.Then it probed into the present situation and showed the hotspots, research frontier and dynamic trends. Finally, we draw the appropriate conclusions, summarized the innovation and the existing deficiencies of research, provided the basis for future development of the psychology of pre-school children.The main conclusions of this study are:(1)The number of the literature of psychology of pre-school children in china has basically showed an increasing trend year by year from the years of1993to2013;(2)In the1993-2013years, Institute of Developmental Psychology of Beijing Normal University has always been in the heart of all research institutions, Preschool and Special Education School’s power of the East China Normal University should not be underestimated, other research institutions in the field of psychology of pre-school children also have been very active;(3)Chen huichang from Institute of Developmental Psychology of Beijing Normal University, Ii hong from Southwest University, yang lizhu from Liaoning Normal University, always have been outstanding and working together with other authors.(4) Studies in Preschool Education has held the most documents in the eight core periodicals of CSSCI;(5)Psychology of pre-school children has formed different research hotspots and different trends from the years of1993to1999,2000to2006,2007to2013.In the process of the development, some research hotspots developed steadily, some disappeared gradually, some appeared newly.(6) According to the rate of emergence, the research frontier topics of psychology of pre-school children have been basically belong to" weaker type and latest type."...
