This topic uses Rockwell company1756-L71processor as the core, and hascarried on research and design for a certain company for the air filter production linemonitoring system. Aimed at shortcomings existing in the current similar productionline, and in combination with software and hardware configuration, the optimizationdesign of new ideas is put forward. Based on Rockwell company’s ProgrammableLogic Controller (PLC), the air filter’s whole production line of the comprehensivemonitoring function has realized, the results show that the production line runsstably,reliably, and gets a considerable improvement of product quality,achieves theexpected design goal. This paper mainly do the following:1.On the basis of Rockwell (AB)1756series hardware, an open networkstructure based on NetLinx data communications platform have been constructed.2.According to the production process requirement, the line movement, sprayingmold release agent, heating, plastic injection, filter, compaction mechanism,mechanical stripping, artificial pick-up, printing, the robot pick-up were studied indetail, and the monitoring function of the above location was designed.3. The radio frequency identification technology (RFID)optimized theproduction line control system. In the process of mixed flow production, removing thehuman component part and improving automation degree and production efficiency ofthe production line.4.The tray temperature has a direct impact on the production efficiency andproduct quality of the production line. In production line, the problem of insufficientaccuracy on the tray temperature control was carried out, considering the factorsinfluencing the tray temperature, joining the incubator control unit between theheating station2and note station, to reduce the loss of temperature before completingthe injection plastic, and the fuzzy self-tuning PID control technique was used toachieving the precise control of the incubator.5.Based on the Rockwell PLC,the monitoring of the whole production line have been realized.The statistics and analysis of the product quality shows that the productline gets satisfactory application results.6.On the basis of the implemented monitoring system,the application of theproduction line has been tracked. Based on this, thorough research have been carriedon, and making prospect for the future.
