Fieldbus control system( FCS )is a kind of new industrial control system developed from 1990's. It's application in industrial process control area makes the configuration and coordination of control network and installation of whole system easier; also it makes the control system performing more efficiently and can be flexibly reconstructed. Rockwell Automation developed the Netlinx open network system which has three layers; they are Device net, Control net and Ethernet. This kind of structure, from field level to management level, can highly distribute control function and open; enhance network and device diagnosis and correction; reduce installation and wiring works and thus save much debugging time; realize data sharing; communicate by master/slave multi-master mode. It's one of best open control system.This paper introduces the application of Netlinx open network in the Cobalt Producing Process Alteration Project. It analyses system structure of Netlinx. From aspects of configuration designing, networks communication, installation and debugging, this paper present a detailed discussion. Netlinx's successful application in the project proves it is a kind of advanced system and can easily communicate among different control system; thus, seamlessly integrate all kinds of process information into one system efficently. This paper gives out ways to integrate information from different fieldbuses with different protocol; ways to obtain accurate control of process targets ; ways to improve quality of products and recovery rate .This paper gives out the new way that the data report forms arecreated automatically in producing process by RSSql software and solves the low-efficiency of Controllogix system network. At the same time, it come true the incorporation of machine, electricity and instrument, systemic network and compositive by electronic thermal protective facility E3 and the applications of Devicenet.
