Carrying the ideological essence of the Chinese nation and culture of blood, containing a wealth of human spirit and strong ethics, Chinese traditional festival is an important part of Chinese cultural heritage. Carrying forward the Chinese traditional festival can establish cultural identity for our people, build cultural self-confidence and strengthen cultural identity, playing an important role in constructing the cultural power.With the acceleration of social transformation and the process of globalization, the survival and development of the traditional festival face the double dilemma. On the one hand, the connotation of the traditional festival gradually fades out, having a single way, even the distortion. On the other hand, the traditional festival affected by Christmas, Valentine’s Day and other "foreign section" becomes less attractive in the youth. Promoting the integration of the traditional festival with the times is not only a necessary requirement of traditional Chinese culture heritage and contemporary culture of innovation, but also the inevitable choice to maintain and protect the diversity of Chinese culture and lifestyle.In order to provide useful perspectives and ideas, this paper studies the traditional festival of cultural transmission networks as the entry point to the many traditional festivals and cultural characteristics of the propagation and spread of linked networks. This paper consists of four parts. The first part is the introduction in Chinese traditional festivals of contemporary situation, pointing out its "internal problems" and "foreign aggression", the practical significance of the traditional festival culture and the urgent need in the protection and development. The second part is the need to use network in carding traditional festivals, combing the status of traditional festivals and cultural network communication. The third part is the replacement of traditional festivals and cultural connotation, discussing the Chinese traditional festivals and cultural connotation of value changes by the example of the Network Spring Festival. The fourth part discusses some issues on the spread of traditional festivals and makes some specific suggestions.
