With the rapid development and wide application of network technology, communication technology and information technology, and the promotion of software and hardware tools and diversified forms of publication, A series of new publishing formats appear. Digital publishing, a new strategic emerging industry, is gradually expanded, and transcends the traditional publishing. In many areas of the digital publishing industry, the electronic book industry is the fastest growing industry. With the advantage of low publishing costs, publishing short cycle, zero inventory and so on, e-books showed a good momentum of development. In the course of its development e-book industry is hindered by a variety of factors, such as the dominant companies, profit model, copyright. Among these factors, how to build and operate digital publishing platform is one of the key issues.This paper is based on SC Company as a practical background, which deals with traditional book publishing and e-book publishing. The research objective is to build a standardized electronic book publishing platform. The design and implement of an electronic book publishing system results in an Authors-Platform (publisher)-Readers electronic books distribution model, and it can provide a unified application platform for authors, publishers and readers, and achieve network evaluation management of submission, editing proofreading, publishing, distribution and all other aspects.Based on the above goals, the following work has been done:First, the related concepts of digital publishing and the overall situation of the digital publishing industry are summarized in this paper, and a detailed analysis of E-book Industry, which is the field of digital publishing industry segments, is displayed. Then the domestic electronic book digital publishing platform is compared, which provides certain reference for the next system construction.Second, system analysis. First of all, starting from the traditional publishing business activities, this paper briefly introduces some digital publishing technology, and analyzes the impact of digital technology on the traditional publishing activities. On this basis, combined with the company’s actual situation, to the analysis of the system functional requirements analysis and non-functional requirements related to, by analyzing the deficiency of current system in the company, proposed the electronic books improved publishing system business processes, and data flow of the system top is analyzed. Third, system design. The system is designed from three aspects, which are system architecture, system function module, system database. The overall architecture of the system is put forward, which is described by three layer architecture model and system architecture diagram. The function module is divided according to three roles of system and each sub module is then introduced in detail. The system database is detailed designed according to the concept of model, logical structure, physical structure.Fourth, system implementation. Based on system analysis and design, using Visual Studio2010as the system developing platform, SQL Server2008as background database, ASP.NET and C#technology and B/S development mode, a prototype of electronic book digital publishing platform is built to achieve some function modules in the system.
