Serious Network Of Public Opinion Of The Crisis Response

In recent years, the major public opinion events on internet have taken placefrequently in China, which caused serious impact on the healthy and orderlydevelopment of society. However, the response of government for the major publicopinion events on internet are always slightly lag behind and the means andstrategies to solve the problem are one-way taken, while the attitudes and strategiesof media, enterprises and public reveal immature on coping with the crisis. I believethat, for the coping with network crisis, no one but government, enterprise, themedia and public have responsibility, and there is no way to deal with the crisisunless the four objects work together. On the base, I propose to deal with this crisisas follow: For the government, the strategies must be based on two-way-reciprocalmodel put forward by Grunig, from the aspects of law, administration and technicalsupervision. The media should play a role on leading public opinion to a healthy andobjective way, which at the same time making an effort on cracking down rumor,balancing citizens’ privacy and the right to know. The public should enhance medialiteracy.
