The research and design of network security camera with infrared illuminator is illustrated in this paper.The design is built up by Sony "Exmor" CMOS, using the low code rate video compress criterion H.264 which can make the coder obtain better image quality and coding performance as well as be convenient for fidelity transmission on computer system and network.The Streaming Media technique and the RTP/RTCP protocol suitable for video transmission are adopted to the video transmission technique.The FPGA+DSP embedded system, coordinated by all kinds of image enhancement technology such as View-DR, Visibility Enhancer and XDNR, can make the camera being to efficient codec, high image quality.On the design of hardware platform.this system is composed of image acquisition system,image processing system,Enternet transmission module and IR function.The image acquisition system using Sony "Exmor" CMOS and image processing is done in the FPGA,in this case TMS320DM365 is used as H.264 coding and Enternet interface.The built-in IR function can help camera diver quality images even in absolute darkness (0Ⅸ).The intelligent IR technology provides longer IR LED life cycle to adjust IR LED light illumination and brings the most clear video image during dark at any conditions.This unique technology dramatically eliminates the biggest problem of the conventional IR camera by distinguishing the closer objects with the control of IR sensitivity and still providing the sharp picture without saturation.
