Java-based Video Management Service Platform

Video monitoring technology, which is applied in security management practice in the field of finance, transportation, power generation and public security, as well as citizen's communities, is becoming more popular and is increasingly upgraded. Starting from the early CCTV to the DVR in the 90's in the 20th Century, With the development of photoelectric, microelectronic, networks communication, digital video, multimedia and sensor technology in recent years, image processing technology based on video monitoring have been widely employed in public security, transportation and city management, and image processing technology have developed from traditional analogue one to highly integrated digital, network and smart one. With the widely application of the broadband network, the long-distance monitoring based on the IP prevailed. Currently, most network transitional protocol is based on C or C++, with most video monitoring system developed by VC, there is very little long-distance monitoring system based on JAVA. Here in this essay, a long-distance monitoring system is proposed and developed, based on IP network with JAVA technology, with consideration of the irrelevance of platform and the advantage of the completion of network support. Whereas, to realize this system, solutions to a series of key technical problems have to be found. Among of which, alerting and video recording is key functions to the monitoring system. For long-distance monitoring and unattended monitoring, the auto-judgment, alerting and video recording function is helpful to the instant processing and analyzing afterwards in case of abnormal situation.The strong video analysis function of smart video system are essential way to upgrade the existing image information system based on video data technology,the basics of smart video system application are image information system.In China, the construction of image information system is a core of constructing harmony society and safety city and of strengthening public securities in cities.
