After the reorganization of China telecom industry, the competition is increasingly fierce among telecom operators. Consequently, Siqisen Corporation devides its sales process into several phases for delicacy management. However, the sales management system makes manual data input time-consuming and hardly gives support for collaborative work. In such a case, the sales process is slowered and even some opportunities are lost. In order to improve the efficiency and sales turnover, a new system with workflow technology is urgently needed for automatic process management.Firstly, the current situation and problems about sales management in Siqisen Corporation are analyzed and the necessity of developing its new system with workflow technology is made clear. Based on it, major functionalities and related processes in opportunity management, activity management and order management are introduced. Then the system architecture is explained and its core subsystems such as channel support and order processing are designed in detail. The emphasis in the discussion is the design of auotmaitc process management with related skills of Siebel WPM. Besides, the comparison with similar IT systems is made. In the end, the strength and weakness in the system is summarized.
