Production planning is always the key point in enterprise manufacture management. How production planning works directly reflect the status of the whole enterprise manufacture. It's the symbol whether a company can take full advantage of their resources to coordinate manufacture, to meet requirements of market and to achieve operation objectives. However, quite a lot of small or medium enterprises, even large enterprises in China still have not established good and effective control method for production planning during the process of their manufacture, which brings serious problems in planning practicability, flexibility, data accuracy and real-time capacity. Additionally, current static planning mode in mainstream ERP systems-MRPII can not provide certain planning pattern for different type of manufacturing mode of different kind of enterprises. That's the reason why production planning can not link actual manufacture execution together, schedules arranged by planning can hardly match actual manufacture.As the background of the production planning process of L company, the production planning system is developed according to the operation mode of the company. Based on existed Baan ERP system, it integrates all related planning elements such as resources restrict and outside disturbs in the whole process of manufacture execution. The system also implements the functions of visual production planning adjustment, status tracking for manufacture execution and material pulling function driven by work orders.In requirement analysis, firstly the thesis gives a brief explanation in production planning process and brings out the problems in the process of production planning. Then introduces functional requests, non-functional requests will be implemented in the system. In system designing, at first it introduces the roles and functional modules of application. Then gives the outline design for all the modules in system and gives the detail design and analysis for the core module-simulation work order planning. In system implement, it gives the whole framework of the system. Then discuss the technology and some example for all the layers of system framework such as business logic layer, data access persistent layer, and GUI display layer.Via timely feedback of manufacture status and resources conditions, dynamical adjustment for the production planning is supported. The system helps to use the resource maximally and satisfy the requirement from customers at a greater width and depth. It also provides the function for data exchange and share between all planning related modules in ERP Systems, to make the work in all planning related departments timely and supplely.
