Production Planning Management System Based On Web Services, Traditional Chinese Medicine Manufacturing Enterprises

This paper briefly describes the relationships between the modes of modern production management and the Chinese herbal medicine manufacturing production management, and analyzes the characters of process industry including the Chinese herbal medicine industry. Meanwhile it emphasizes the main characters of Chinese herbal medicine industry itself. According to the surveys of many Chinese herbal medicine manufacturing enterprises, the paper designs the production management system, and describes the functions and architecture of its six subsystems including planning management, workshop management, purchase management, inventory management, middle inventory management, equipment management, as well as the relationships among the subsystems. It analyzes the characters and merits of the Web services technology, and its utilization in the field of Chinese herbal medicine manufacturing. It discusses the relationship of this kind of technology and the designed production management system.The paper has done some theoretical studies on production planning, for Chinese herbal medicine manufacturing enterprises and builds up the models of the production management and the production planning. It utilizes the linear target programming to aid producing the yearly production planning generation that is important for the production. It uses the information such as recipes, processes to build up the math model and algorithm, which could resolve the issue of converting the monthly planning into batch orderings.According to the results of the research about the production management and production planning, the paper developed the production planning management subsystem that is an important part of production management system. It mainly fulfills the function of decomposing the planning into batch ordering. Many functions in the production planning management system are built as the modules of Web services, which provides good interface for second development of the system and joining to the other systems. Finally, the production planning management system was developed to support the built models. Meanwhile, it also points out the defects of the developed system, in order to improve the system in the future.
