With the progressing of the embedded technology and the boom of Internet technology, the development and also application of embedded systems based on the network has obtained more and more attention, and progressively used in agriculture, industry, water conservancy, electricity, transportation and other occasions. Compared with traditional Internet terminal, embedded terminal hardware structure can be cut in accordance with different needs and requirements of the actual design of the hardware system. With the progressing of embedded technology, the embedded software and hardware has been the rapid development. embedded microprocessors has been improved greatly,there are moreand more various embedded operating system and application software. All of those provid stable and reliable designed ability to meet the actual needs of the embedded system. Due to the useing of new design concepts and methods,the terminal which adopting the embedded design has many advantages in some aspects, such as stability, real-time working, scalability, cost, etc. In the production and daily live, image information is an essential in formation forms which is visual and abundant. Through analyzing a real-time image, we can get the conditions of production and also obtain informations for decision making. In embedded system design, image acquire include acquisition, compression, storage, transmissionm, etc. This paper focuses on image transmission which base on wireless network design and analyze. in the system design we just introduces the implementation of image acquisitionand compression part.According to the characteristic of embedded system's development, we firstly give out the hardware and software designs, and detailed introductions of the tftp protocol. Hardware platform is based on the powerful processor AT91RM9200T and also include network interface, peripheral interfaces required by the system.The image acquisition part adopt a popular design, using a camera with USB interface, and using the Linux kernel driver to implement real-time image acquisition; Data transfer is based on wireless networks which adopt GPRS technology.The software platform uses an embedded Linux operating system.In order to run this systerm, we need to transplant Bootloader, Linux kernel, make the root file system, device drivers and so on. Then we give out data transmission applications program adopting the tftp protocol, analysis of the performance of the system with final test results,and give a brief introduce of data analysis tool Wireshark software.Experimental tests show that the system adopting the the tftp protocol is stable, and can transfer data quickly and efficiently, with real-time features.in practical application, the system has some reference values.
