Informatization is one of the most important features in the end of last century. With the development of information society, great changes have occurred in people's lifestyle and production mode. There are fundamental reforms in the concept and mode of the medical sanitarian. The development and application of the remote medical technology has become one of the hot spots. Not only can the remote medical treatment reduce the trouble for doctors and patients, but also it can make the medical resources be efficiently used, reduce the difference of medical conditions for the poor and the rich, different region and different race, reduce medical cost, improve medical efficiency and quality, especially at first aid, provide the rescue more timely and effectively, decrease death rate, improve the efficiency of treatment.Based on the demand of remote medical and the imbalance of modern medical development, this thesis expatiates on the deficiency and the improvement for the system, and develops the remote transmission system based on the embedded technology, socket, multithreading and network technology. An application scheme for remote and real-time of the data transfers utilizing the embedded system connected with the wireless GPRS is proposed. This prospective project has great reality significance which provides reliable data for the doctors to make timely, correct and scientific decisions.This thesis use MSP430 as the main controller to receive and send ECG data based on Client—Server transfer mode. To realize the high speed information transmission with no limitation on locations, we use PIML connecting with the main controller to access the GPRS network. The first character of the thesis is the TFTP protocol, which is used to transfer the data between the Client and the Server. Using TFTP protocol can reduce the development difficulty and shorten the research period, because it has usable functions such as sending and receiving data.For the realization of the software, in the Client, the program language is C under IAR environment. In the Server, the program language is VC++ whose programming environment is VC6.0. Through the test showed that the system can work very fast and correct, it can provide a good foundation for the success operation of data transfer.
