Caocao's Tomb was a commom archaeological events happened at the end of 2009 and the attension caused by which lasted for nearly a year. With the extensive participation of all circles in the society, it turned swiftly into a social public event or even a farce. The argument about Caocao's tomb was inevitably accompanied with too much complicated social factors, But in society of media, served as the main channel of people acquiring informations, agenda-setting functions such as the reporting intention, reporting means of media, as well as guidance of public opinion, etc, inevitably bring to the extensively controversial case many negative influence. During the course of reporting, many media agents were not of enough authority. There reporting themes deviated seriously from the research scope of archaeology and emerged tendency of entertainment. The reports from local media agents thought highly of local interst and contradicted each other. This method of news report did not only seriously disturb the normal performance of archaeology,but also decrease the public trust of news media.Therefore, with the report of Caocao's tomb from inland media agents as its object of study, from the view of journalism and communication, by means of content analysis, the article tries to analyses the problems in reporting of Caocao's tomb and beneficial inspirations brought to us by Caocao's tomb, tries to explor how well communication and interaction can be realised between archaeologists and recipients.
