In recent years, researches on the exploit of course resources have increased, and the direction of these researches has transferred from theories to practice from the perspectives of subjects, areas and elements of geography. However, among all the achievements, cases and relative theories about the specific course resources which can be borrowed are still far from enough. This thesis attempts to find out the specific procedures and methods of exploiting the geography course resources of high school by studying the resources of Geological Museum of China. The paper employs such research methods as literary review, field work and questionnaire. Based on constructivism and the designed activities according to the high school curriculum standard, it first figures out the relativity between the resources of the Museum and the high school geography teaching. Then it uses questionnaires to summarize the general procedures and methods. These procedures are as follows:(1) Identify the resources in the Museum. (2) Establish the learning theme according to the curriculum standard. (3) Integrate the resources of the Museum effectively based on the theme. The resources should be typical, adjacent, practical and be combined according to time and space. (4) Design practical teaching plans. Several aspects should be considered:teach the students according to their different personalities, select the type of lesson according to teaching objectives, deepen the content gradually, pay attention to induction and cooperation, and design various colorful activities. (5) Prepare and practice the activities. (6) Testify the effect of the design and reflect the weak points. Two teaching plan examples then be designed and carried out according to this procedure and get very good result. This practice is an effective exploration of the combination of school teaching and social resources, aiming to help the students learn geography in practice and master basic skills in geography.
