Since the reform and opening-up, China's economy has been developing at a very fast rate, which requires more and more high skilled talent. In 1985, the central government set the guidline of vigorously developing vocational and technical education and demanded China should actively develop colleges of higher vocational and technical education. In 1991, China founded its first school of higher vocational and technical education, Xingtai School of Higher Vocational and Technical Education, taking the lead in pilot vocational education. In 994, the all-China education conference for the first time put forward"Three Reforms and One Compensation"to develop higher vocational education. In March 1997, Shenzhen College of Vocational and Technical Education and Xingtai College of Vocational and Technical Education, sanctioned by the former Chinese education commission,, were formally opened. In less than ten years, China established more than one thousand colleges of vocational education successively. However, influenced by the scale, level and targets of running vocational colleges, vocational education is up against serious challenges. To hold its position in the intense competition, colleges of vocational education have to gain the upper hand in staff's training, motivation and arrangement and so on. Among them, establishment of an incentive remuneration system is of great importance.In accordance with remuneration theory, reseach findings and experience of remuneration systems of some colleges at home and abroad, the article comprehensively analyzes remuneration scheme of Sichuan College of Architectural Technology. On the all-round analysis of remuneration level and construction, distribution system, securities and welfare system, it comes up with an optimized remuneration scheme suitable to the college's development so as to create better situations for the staff's improvement.
