Response to the needs of the ageing society, this thesis attempts to sum up the basic framework of empowerment–oriented community education model for the young aged citizens. This framework is based on the theories of empowerment and community education, pointing to the powerless existence in the elderly, especially the young aged citizens. This research takes the practical process of Erlong Road Community, Xicheng District, Beijing as an example, analyzes the whole process of the empowerment–oriented community education model. By the methodology of quantitative (questionnaire) and qualitative (deeply interviews) to investigate and evaluate the activities, this process consists the pre-preparation stage, the process of activities and the assessment stage. The whole research is analyzed by the S (Success) L (Limit) S (Suggestion) to summarize the experience and the lessons, explore the applicability and popularizing significance of the empowerment–oriented community education model in the Chinese community.As a social worker, we try to develop the empowerment-oriented community education model for the young aged citizen, providing the possibility for learning, the resources for the teaching, and the support for the happiness of the young aged citizen in the activities of community education. Moreover, devoting ourselves to do contributions on establishing the harmonious society.
