Rural Primary And Secondary School Students Drop Out Of School Analysis Of Causes

In the history of popularizing compulsory education, dropping out of school has been one of the most worrying and concerning problems, which is an educational phenomenon that exist in every country. In other words, the history of popularizing compulsory education is a history of fighting with the problem dropping out of school, which has become a most serious and long-existing problem in the development of education. Nowadays, the absence of a relatively high rate of students from school has become a national problem and its causes rank from area to area. This thesis is based on the discussion of causes in a town in Hebei province according to its present situation and characteristics.With the help of some concrete methods such as investigations, visits and conversations and the research of literature in the perspective of ecological theory, the thesis gets the conclusion that the problems lie in the functioning of the living environment of the dropping out of school students, including the relationship among systems like families, schools, neighbors, communities and the origin of culture and thought.By materials covering and analyses, the thesis concludes the systems mentioned above all have their problems in the process of educating students and culture capital duplication, the predicted poverty, the changes of family structures, the unsustainable staff of teachers, lack of education enthusiasm in teaching, unsatisfying teaching environment and the unreasonable arrangements under the guidance of quantity education which ignores the basic requirement of being a human being. Factors of unhealthy culture and the consequent undeserved behaviors, the unreasonable community structure and its culture, the cultural trend of educational policies and the long-existing thought of dropping out of school are all relevant to the phenomenon. So it is quite urgent to solve the problem and must be undertaken within each system.Professor Sun mentioned the concrete forms of "Break society", but the afterwards cultural break is not only the reason of society break but also the root of the conflicts in social thoughts which is illustrated by the appearance of dropping-out-of school students illustrated. Therefore, dropping out of school has become a serious social problem.
