Presently, school drop-out is a commonly existing problem in education, only with differences in different countries and regions. Family's economic poverty, students'academic failure and country's unfairness in education have all caused the up-going trend in school drop-out.In recent years, China's educational systems have been gradually perfected and education qualities have been steadily improved. To develop elementary education, China has made and promulgated many polices on education, has made considerable investment in education. But in the remote and poverty-stricken areas, the ratio of school dropout is still very high, especially the ethnic school girls.Taking the Yi girls in Jiulong County of Ganzi Tibetan autonomous prefectures as the case, this research will make analysis in the reasons for rural Yi girl students'school drop-out in Jiulong County, and put forward the solutions.The whole paper falls into five parts: Part One, the introduction, analyzes the status quo of research in school dropout of the experts and scholars of home and aboard, concluding that the school drop-out is a commonly existing problem in very region, and that academic failure is a common factor for school dropout in different countries and regions. Other factors for school dropout, such as economic poverty, social systems, student itself, family and social influences vary in different countries and regions, and the corresponding influences and functions vary greatly. Part Two ascertains the research content and method. The author will employ the method of narration, investigation on the spot, interview and questionnaire survey. The author has made the investigations and surveys in two middle schools and three primary schools in two Yi -featured towns. Part Three describes the status quo of Yi girls'school dropout in Jiulong County. The author has made the investigation in two Yi settlements by making all-round interviews and researches into Yi traditional culture, family, school, society, and the Yi school girls themselves, with the purpose to have a deep analysis in the reasons for rural Yi girl students'school drop-out in Jiulong County. Part Four covers the analysis and reflections. Based on the large number of investigations and researches, the conclusion will be drawn on the main reasons for rural Yi girl students'school drop-out in Jiulong County, and policies and measures will be proposed for effective control over the school dropout of the ethic girls.Part Five comes to the end of the whole paper. After deeply analyzing the reasons for rural Yi girl students'school drop-out in Jiulong County, the author will put forward policies and measures for effective control over ethic girls'school dropout in interracial neighborhoods and ethnic settlements. Through the research in this paper, and trying to find a perfect solution, the author hopes to call attentions over the exploration of this problem from more scholars, experts, students'parents, teachers and people from all walks of life.
