Inquiry learning starts late in our country, shapes slowly, but the speed of pursue is so fast that people are unprepared to accept it, so the development of inquiry learning is uneven in all areas of our country. In Nanjing, those famous key schools who explore first inquiry learning mainly are the schools which have perfect education facility, great teachers staff and better basic ability students, like Jinling High School, Nanjing No. 1 High School etc. However it is the necessary of history development that inquiry learning arises at the moment in our country and it is a demand for education of the social development. This text, through analyzing success and problem met by a general high school in probing into inquiry learning, explains inquiry learning must possess corresponding conditions to popularize smoothly. In my opinion , during the process of advancing inquiry learning , the school administrator's idea is the leading factor, teacher' s quality is the key, student' s entity is the guarantee, the community care is the support. Implementation of inquiry learning is a system engineering. Only a great deal of respects influence each other and develop harmoniously, inquiry learning can be popularized deeply, the course reform can be implemented really.
