With the promulgation and implementation of the general high school geography curriculum standard(2017 edition),how to cultivate students' essential geography core literacy has become a problem for many geography teachers to think about.The teaching goal has also changed from the knowledge and skills,process and methods,emotional attitude and values in the past to the cultivation of students' geographical practice,comprehensive thinking,regional cognition and human-land coordination view.As an important part of teaching material,the part of "inquiry activity" plays an important auxiliary role in the process of realizing teaching goal.This paper collates and classifies the inquiry activities of General senior high school Geography(Shandong Education Press)and General senior high school Geography(China Map Press),and makes a comparative study on the formal elements,target elements and level elements of the inquiry activities of the two editions,and draws the differences of the inquiry activities of the two editions in form elements,target elements and level elements.Then the typical case of "agricultural production and geographical environment" through the interview of teachers who use the two editions of teaching materials to carry out a case analysis,it is concluded that the two editions of the inquiry activities in the actual teaching of the existence of neglect,omission of students to explore independently,independent thinking process.Then it points out the problems existing in the inquiry activities in the two editions of the textbook,that is,some of the inquiry activities in General senior high school Geography(Shandong Education Press)are old,which are not in line with the current situation of the society.There are many kinds and number of Chinese graphic inquiry activities,with more emphasis on the collection of geographical information,while there are few inquiry activities aimed at the causes of geographical phenomena and their connection with various geographical elements in General senior high school Geography(China Map Press).Then,according to the inquiry activities of the two editions of the textbook,there are suggestions for the authors of the textbook and the teachers,as well as the improvement of the inquiry activities of the course "Agricultural production and geographical environment" are put forward.Finally,it puts forward the prospect of how to combine the inquiry activities in the textbook with the cultivation of the geography core accomplishment.How to better achieve the overall goal of high school geography curriculum?When designing the teaching of inquiry activities,analyzing the target elements and level elements of a certain inquiry activity in advance may be more effective in using and carrying out inquiry activities in teaching materials.
