The teaching of Classical Chinese has long been the difficult teaching points insenior high schools, which is both hard for teachers to teach and for students to learn.Since the second period of course reform, the selected passages of the ClassicalChinese touches wider range and longer paragraph. All these supply more forstudents to memorise and higher demand for students to understand and to appreciatethem, which bring them more difficulty. So teachers often complain that they lacktime for teaching and that students are heavily burdened. It is very urgent how weshould be directly faced with the difficulties and should propose effectivecountermeasures.Taking the second period of course reform as the surrounding, regarding theshifting theory as the guide, and standing on the base of the research of thepredecessors, the thesis of mine is that I am trying to combine it with my teachingpractice and putting forward some systematic and practical strategies to solve theproblems in the teaching of classical Chinese. The thesis includes the following:It states the urgency of reform towards the classical Chinese, makes clear therelevant concepts, re-judges the value direction and the purpose of the teaching ofclassical Chinese in the multi-cultural era, re-thinks about the present teaching state ofthe classical Chinese, applies the shifting theory to draw up the fundamental principlefor the teaching of classical Chinese and work out the corresponding strategy for theclassical Chinese on the basis of the fundamental principles, among which the strategyof the classical Chinese is the focal points, which begins its analysis with stimulatingthe interest, setting up the basis, guiding the shift, and cultivating the habitsrespectively.
