In this thesis, the author made a research about the argumentative writing abilities of senior students in G senior middle school by interview method and questionnaire survey, as well as analysis of sixty-three students’essays. After getting a full knowledge mainly about the problems the senior students faced and the argumentative writing competences level they stayed, the author tried to put forward some efficient teaching suggestions for improving the students’ argumentative writing abilities. This thesis is divided into three sections:Firstly, this thesis introduction topic selected reason, research purpose and significance, research methods, core concept definition as well as literature review which contained a review of current situations in the field of research and relative theories;Secondly, the first chapter mainly showed the results of present situation investigation through interviews, questionnaire survey and classroom observation, the author described the status quo of argumentative writing abilities in G senior middle school, on this basis, chapter two mainly analyzed factors affecting the senior students in argumentative writing;Thirdly, based on the present situation investigation and analysis above, the third chapter tried to put forward some countermeasures and proposal at aspect of writing process from the angle high school Chinese teacher, mainly involves two aspects, psychological and cognitive skills of teaching strategy, covers the writing process guidance, writing methods guidance, composition correction etc;Fourthly, this part briefly summarized the main conclusions of this research, that means, the students is most lacking in core argumentative-writing capacity, and basic capacity also need to improve. Then the author point out which influence their argumentative-writing capacity, and put forward deficiencies of the research from psychological and educational perspective, as well as problems which need further study.
