The heuristic method of teaching is a kind of mode that requires teachersmobilizing students’ learning initiative and enthusiasm, teaching from the reality of thestudents, using a variety of ways, for the purpose of inspiring students’ thinking,prompting a guiding ideology of teaching them to be lively and vivid learning accordingto the objective law of teaching and learning in the teaching process. Now, it hasattracted more and more attention in the world. In our country, with the fully swing ofquality education and the new curriculum, the traditional teaching ideas and teachingmode has been unable to adapt to the trend of the times. Teachers should guide studentsto question, do surveys, do research in the teaching of the new era, so that studentspersonalize learning in teachers’ initiative.This paper aims to explore the connotation, fundamental base, significance ofheuristic teaching, and apply heuristic teaching to the actual teaching, usingexperimental data to prove the advantage of heuristic teaching mode in high schoolbiology teaching. is based on the theoretical analysis of the experiment, theexperimental method of the paper is mainly literature research method, case studymethod, questionnaire survey method, experimental teaching method etc. Case studymethod tells about specific cases of heuristic teaching in more detail, such as action andeffect of some specific heuristic activity, providing a reference template for the later.The specific application of teaching experiment and questionnaire survey confirmed theheuristic method of teaching for the high school biology teaching, it turns out thatstudent achievement and the biological interest is improved obviously.After a series of theoretical research and experiment, I concluded that the heuristicmethod of teaching has a positive effect on the high school biology teaching, The resultproves the correctness of the promotion of heuristic teaching’s applying to high schoolbiology teaching theory.At the end of the paper, the concrete implementation plan and countermeasureabout the application of heuristic teaching in biology teaching of senior high school isshown. I hope that the majority of educators can use heuristic teaching methods, andactively promote the application of this scientific teaching method. While in theapplication, attention should be paid to develop the teaching method, to make thegreatest contribution to the cause of education.
