Xi'an Hui Number Of Historical Studies

Hui is a minority in China,it is formed by China's domestic and foreign multi-national composition of long-term historical development. In Xi'an, the Hui are among the most populous minority, the most widely distributed of a nation. Xian Hui has a long history, but in the long history of the evolution process, mainly in the Chinese multi-national culture, there is always able to maintain its own national characteristics, and showing a unique regional culture, which is a typical example of the country. It contains a typical example of the academic value and practical significance, which is particularly worth careful consideration and researchers to explore. However, the academic research on the Xian Hui and the book appeared in the world is very limited, there are a lot of space requires us to fill.This article is an attempt in Xian Huis depth interpretation. However, in the course of the study ,I found it is impossible. Due to my limited knowledge and effort, it is very difficult to get to the bottom of those problem, such as the historical development of the Xian Hui and its localization process, as well as in the collision with the foreign culture, how could the Hui still been able to maintain its unique religious and cultural practices. Therefore, this article just discussed Xian Huis three basic problems by the usage of the basic literature, I hope it can provide some of the mirror of the academic research on Xian Hui.In this paper, the text is divided into three parts:First, the study of Xian Huis origin. How the Xian Hui formed in the long history? It has been plaguing a lot of scholars. In this paper, I outlined the main body of the present-day Xian Hui and its distribution of changes in the course of history by the analysis of a large number of documents. Concluded that the main body of the Xian Hui roughly divided into two major parts: one is the Hui in Xian shaped in history, they are Arab and Persians who came to Xian since Tang Dynasty, and the advent of most minority in "XiYu" in Song and Yuan Dynasties, and then Xian Huis development consisting of twists and turns Since the Ming and Qing; the other one is latter-day swarm into Xian of Hui from other province. The outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War and other factors forced Hui from Hebei, Henan, Shandong and other places move into Xian.Second, Xian Huis economic characteristics of the business. Hui believe in Islamism, and since the foundation of Islamism,it always advocates business. Xian Huis main economic activity is engaging in business. This paper by analysing the literature ,then concluded that as early as the Tang Dynasty, Xian Huis ancestors has already engaged in business of non-governmental, they opened "Hu shop" and so on in "XiShi" of Chang'an, this tradition of being good at doing business, from Tang and Song, by the Song and Yuan, has been passed to modern. In the modern, Xian Hui mainly embarked business in the form of Hawker, particularly in catering.Third, Xian Huis mosques and its educational function. Mosque is the soul of Islam, and the center of Hui people's social, religious and educational life. Its construction is closely relate with Muslim's migration and development. This article discussed in detail the construction and distribution of mosques in Xi'an area since Tang Dynasty, as well as the architectural features and educational functions on mosque.
