Survey Analysis And Reflection, For The Public Music Education Of Engineering Colleges In Hebei Province

21st century is a Knowledge-based Economy period.In order to meet the need of the development of the society and the economic in the new period,colleges and universities must cultivate students with wild knowledge and high quality.Under this special background quality-oriented education seems more and more important.The quality-oriented education is to develop the students' capabilities,to improve themselves,and to make them know how to study and how to live.Students in colleges and universities are the hope of our country.Their qualities are related closely to our country' s future.In the new century,students not only need have more knowledge but also need have the ability of creativity.Music education is an effective way to promote competence-oriented education in an all-round way.The national regular institutions of higher learning formulated that,"The public art course is an optional subject.It aims to cultivate the students with high qualities that the Socialist Modernization Drive need.It plays an important role to build students' esthetic standards,to cultivate students' creativity and practice,and to help the students in character-building." Music education can form the college and university students' healthy characters.Music education has the unique meaning in cultivating students' creativity,and music education is a effective way to improve the students' intelligent level.According to the result of the investigation of the present situation of college music education in six representative universities of science and technology in Hebei by means of papers and talking,this paper finds out the restraining factors which restricted the development of college music education in universities of science and technology in Hebei.They are Hebei University of Science and Technology,Shijiazhuang Railway College,Hebei Polytechnic University,Hebei Institute of Architecture Civil Engineering,and Hebei College of Industry and Technology.The paper also puts forward the strategy that is to enhance the construction of the ranks of teachers,to update teaching ideaology,to optimize the setting of courses,to reforme teaching methods.I hope it will be useful suggestion for the development of the college music education in universities of science and technology in Hebei.
