The Research For Public Art Courses Of Universities Of Science And Technology In The Concept Of General Education

Public art education is one component of general education, it can promote the comprehensive development of human being and improve their Personality, Public art courses is the best way to practice Public art education, and it can improve students’ aesthetic ability, performance ability, innovation ability, communication skills and the ability to solve practical problems. In recent years, public art courses began to receive more and more attentions. Our country issued a number of documents on public art education and public art courses, which laid the important foundation of public art courses in college.This paper is in the concept of general education. Taking University A for an example, it discusses the problems of art courses in the universities of Science and Technology through questionnaires, data analysis and literature search. And at the same time it puts forward relevant countermeasures combining our country condition, using the concept of art education and experience of art courses in foreign countries. The paper is divides into four parts. The first part includes art education, public art education and public art courses. The second part it focuses on the educational concept of public art program. The third part it takes University A for example.it investigates the status and problems of art courses in the universities of Science and Technology through questionnaires and data analysis. It analyses the problems of art courses in the universities of Science and Technology combining the concept of general education. The forth part it improves the educational concept of art courses in the universities of Science and Technology by using the concept of art education and experience of art courses in foreign countries and puts forward relevant countermeasures on public art curriculum system.
