Based On The Input Method Of The Tibetan International Coded Character Set

Input method for Tibetan is the foundational research topic in the information processing field, and its importance is self-evident. This thesis analyzes and points out some shortages of Existing Tibetan input methods, and then design and develop a YangJin Tibetan input method on the bases of ISO/IEC 10646,UNICODE international coding standard and OpenType intelligence font technique.The structure of Input Method Manager-Input Method Editor(IMM-IME) is one of the kernel groupware on Windows platform, which provides strong support for the development of input method. This thesis discusses the principle of keyboard input method on Windows platform, examines the composition, process and key technique of input method based on IMM-IME on Windows platform and implements the YangJin Tibetan keyboard input method on the combination of these two techniques.This method has the following characteristics:1. This method applies Tibetan ISO/IE10646·1 and its corresponding Unicode. So, the text input is international universal ISN. This kind of texts could be opened or used in any computers which are of XP or VISTA systems. This method is different from the current methods whose codes are false codes and not compatible with each other.2. This method could input any Tibetan and Devanagari, applying the advanced international Open Type technology with the "LINK" function positioned in the key "H". This method solved theproblem——"lack of words", with adding one Tibetan word on the other 4 times and Devanagariword on the other 8 times.3.This method has designed the keyboard of Tibetan scientifically and logically, applying the idea of "one key including some symbols" and "one key coming to the aim", on the basis of the statistics of the Tibetan language corpus's characters, parts, syllables and words, using Tibetan particular spelling rules. So this method can input one syllable only with 2-3 key, and "blind input" could be possible, the inputting speed has been heightened.4. This method solved the problem that Tibetan international code can not be input in the Windows XP system, so we can apply Tibetan freely in the Windows XP system or Windows Vista system.5. This method designed some different inputting keyboard, such as Tibetan basic keyboard, Devanagari inputting keyboard, punctuation keyboard, at the same time, this method also designed the corresponding Tibetan inputting basic mode, Tibetan character inputting mode, Devanagari inputting mode, etc. It is liable for user to input freely. This method offered the "soft keyboard" of Devanagari and punctuation cultural symbols, the Devanagari words could be input freely in mouse or keyboard. Besides, this method also offered 11 soft keyboard, such as spelling, Japanese, Russian, Greek, punctuation, figure, math, unit, particular symbols.6. This method support the function that we search and browse the Tibetan NET or do some Tibetan net page.
