Research On The Implementation Of Tibetan Information Processing For Mobile Telephones

At the end of the 20th century, a great revolutionary, with the rapid development of information technology computer, whose core is computer and communication technique, influence all aspects of our society and speed up the development of information technology. Meanwhile, with the development of mobile communication technology and its product replacement and update, the market demand for Tibetan mobile telephone is increasing. However, due to the lack of mobile communication terminals which support Tibetan information processing, the current mobile telephone market can not meet the growing material and cultural needs of the people.Therefore, the relevant technologies and methods are studied in this article to reach the goal that Tibetan information technology can be implemented on mobile phones. The results of this study will make communication easier and convenient for Tibetans; especially benefit Tibetan farmers and herders. It will also reduce the city and countryside disparity in Tibet, resolve the problem of 'digital divide', and promote economic development.The study described and reviewed the current Tibetan information technologies. The four phases of Tibetan information technology development are explored, in addition, Tibetan characters and grammars are studied in depth and some unique rules of Tibetan language are summarized. Finally, the following methods to implement Tibetan information technology on mobile phone are proposed:Tibetan character coding for mobile phone. a Tibetan character coding method, using index technique, is proposed and accord with international-standard Tibetan character code as well as the requirements of coding standards for mobile phoneCreating Tibetan character library and its display. In terms of the requirements for Tibetan information processing for mobile phone, we confirm the Tibetan characters with the filtration techniques in their search and present the methods to generate dot matrix for Tibetan character, create Tibetan character library and display the text on the phone.Tibetan keyboard layout design and Tibetan input method algorithm. According to the key mapping feature for mobile phone keyboard and the structure of Tibetan character, we designed the Tibetan keyboard layout for mobile phone, and proposed Tibetan input method algorithm and its implement with specific development platform of mobile phone terminalsEncoding and decoding for Tibetan short message. The study had a comprehensive analysis of decoding and encoding techniques for mobile short messages and the specification of SMS. The Approaches to decode and encode Tibetan short messages are suggested by combining code index technique for Tibetan character.
