When the work of compiling Siku Quanshu was nearly completed, Ji Yun, the chief compiler, who participate in entire of the edits process created his notes body novel Notes of the Yuewei Hermitage. Since both the two works have a close relationship with Ji Yun, the compiling of Siku Quanshu has a tremendous impact on the creating of Notes of the Yuewei Hermitage Notes.Judging from creation time, the last phase of editing Siku Quanshu is exactly the best opportunity of creating Notes of the Yuewei Hermitage. Because at this time, Ji Yun has sufficient time and rich life experiences, he meets the creating qualifications. And the literature environment, which restricted and scared the scholars, has also relaxed at this time, so that he has the potential to continue the novel writing.More importantly, during the editing the Siku Quanshu, the imperial decrees of collecting books, which issued by Qian Long, play a social ethics and values-oriented role in Ji Yun's creation. As standards, these imperial decrees judge the ethics and values which be reflected in Ji Yun's creation. In creating Notes of the Yuewei Hermitage, Ji Yun always follows dominant ideas of these imperial decrees and puts them into practice creation. In addition, the following of Qian Long's imperial decrees could not separate with his parentage, status and learning.Ji Yun's accepting and practicing of the values proposed by Qian Long is the "aphasia" of the feudal scholars under the rule of the imperial power. His Notes of the Yuewei Hermitage is precisely a microcosm of this kind of "aphasia".
