In the rapid growth of global movie industry, the global movie resource allocation has increasingly carried weight. In particular, Hollywood's globalization strategy not only steadily brings other nation's cultural resources, but also successfully reconstructs the commercial movies from different countries. Simultaneously belonging to Asian culture, South Korea and Hongkong both play a vital role in the movie industry. Facing the resource depletion, South Korea innovated boldly in the rescreen of Hong Kong movie "A Better Tomorrow,1986".This article takes the movie as a text in the vision of Trans-Culture dissemination study through a comparison between the South Korean movie "A Better Tomorrow" and the Hongkong movie "A Better Tomorrow,1986". The analysis encompasses plot, subject, character and photography techniques of the two movies, aiming to identify the similarities and differences. Applying the Edward Hall's Cultural Theory and the intertextuality to the rescreen of "A Better Tomorrow,1986", it reveals that "A Better Tomorrow,2010" combines South Korea's emotional depiction and political background with the characteristic of Hongkong movie.This study is mainly divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the literature review of some relevant theories and research, including the Edward Hall's Culture Theory and intertextuality.The second chapter studies Hongkong black movie, which introduces Hongkong black movie's definition, background, development course and portfolios.In the third chapter, a comparison of two movies, "A Better Tomorrow,1986" and "A Better Tomorrow,2010", is mainly drawn from the perspective of plot, subject, character and photography techniques. Also, Hongkong movies bring certain influences to South Korean ones, which is demonstrated through analysis.The fourth chapter discloses the significance of movie rescreens. With the concerns of its development tendency, the advantages and disadvantages of movie rescreens are displayed.Finally, the conclusion is drawn in the fifth chapter, which arrives at a summary of this study.
