This thesis is aim to reveal the’As Found’esthetics through analyzing the British pop art group-The Independent Group, its method of exhibiting, art works, art practices, which is also the supporting theory of the group. The specific meaning of the ’As Found’ theory will be studied, the art practical activities lead by this theory will be carded as well in this paper which will explain the relationship between the methodology of ’As Found’ theory and the methodology of American pop art.This process of a logical deduction will be hidden in this article:By analyzing the Independent Group’s whole art practices including exhibitions, seminars, art works, then finding out how the ’As Found’ theory directs and influences those art practices. The other deduction which bases on the first one is trying to make a comparison between the British pop art’s art methodology represented by The Independent Group and the American pop art’s art methodology, to show that they are derived from the same origin.
