Purpose:Based on the activity of ulcerative colitis patients were retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of investigation, exploring the clinical features of this disease and the characteristics of TCM symptoms and Integrative Medicine Clinical cases of the disease, hoping to improve the understanding and treatment of this disease a certain level of help.Method:Retrospective review of clinical research, selected in March 2007 to March 2009 Traditional Chinese Medicine University Hospital of active ulcerative colitis medical records of 80 patients, the general status of patients (gender, age, occupation, etc.), Symptoms, tongue, pulse, Diagnosis, Western diagnosis, treatment, drug filled, "Ulcerative Colitis Survey", all research data are input Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, a database and using statistical packages SPSS13.0 statistical analysis. Use of statistical methods including descriptive statistics, chi-square test.Results:1. General information: hospital 2007.3~2009.3 80 cases of UC patients, male 43, female 37 cases, male to female ratio was 1.16:1; onset age of 17 to 76 years (mean age 42.16±10.23), the peak incidence of 30 ~ 39. General staff of the most common occupations, 21 cases (26.25%), cadres, 15 cases (18.75%), workers in 18 cases (22.50%), farmers in 5 cases (6.25%), students in 8 cases (10.00%), retired 7(8.75%), individual owners in 6 cases (7.50%). The related factors in 21 cases due to diet-induced total 26.25%; because of infection induced in 8 patients; too tired to work or study onset, 18 cases; induced by emotional factors in 23, cases5 cases caused by other reasons. The frequencies were 10.00%, 22.50%, 28.75%, 6.25%.2. Extent of disease: rectum, sigmoid colon, 30 cases (37.50%), left colon were 25 cases (31.25%), involved the right colon alone were only 2 cases (2.50%), regional colitis in 2 cases (2.50%), whole colon were 21 cases (26.25%); disease severity: mild in 17 cases (21.25%), moderate in 41 (51.25%), severe in 22 cases (27.50%); clinical types of early onset 14 cases (17.50%), chronic relapsing in 55 cases (68.75%), chronic persistent in 11 cases (13.75%).3. Endoscopy:①61 patients with diffuse distribution (81.25%)②mucosal congestion and edema, 74 cases of vascular network fuzzy (92.50%)③ulcer or erosion in 47 cases (58.75%)④mucosal fragility, spontaneous bleeding in 25 cases (31.25 %)⑤coarse particle size of 20 cases (25.00%)⑥purulent secretion in 14 cases (17.50%)⑦lumen stenosis in 9 cases (11.25%)⑧polyps in 5 cases (6.25%⑨mucosal bridge 1 (1.25%); pathology biopsy①diffuse inflammatory cell infiltration and chronic inflammation Disease in 65 cases (82.25%);②ductal hyperplasia in 17 cases (21.25%);③inflammatory necrosis in 14 cases (17.50%);④mucosal surface erosion and ulceration in 11 cases (13.75%);⑤crypt abscess in 1 (1.25%).4. TCM syndrome: 38 cases of large intestine damp heat (47.50%), spleen and stomach qi deficiency in 18 cases (22.50%), liver depression and spleen in 13 cases (16.25%), spleen and kidney yang 7 cases (8.75%), blood deficiency (3 cases 3.75%), intestinal stasis contact 1 (1.25%). Evidence of the main symptoms: anal burning, blood and pus, mouth pain, food less anorexia, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, refused to press, tenesmus, yellow and greasy coating, weak, short red urine. The main symptoms of deficiency: physical fatigue, mucus then, bowel, abdominal pain thermophilic press, food less poor appetite, thin white fur.5. Treatment and prognosis: clinical therapy to medical treatment mainly integrative total effective rate 92.9%, total effective rate of integrative 73.7%,have obvious significance in characteristics(P<0.05).Conclusion:The sex difference was not significant. Mostly young predilection. Cold, diet, mental stress, infections, and fatigue and other factors may be related to the incidence of UC has some relationship. Moderate severity of more common, the main clinical types of chronic relapsing; lesions involved the rectum to sigmoid colon or rectum; endoscopy: mucosal congestion and edema, fat, erosion, superficial ulceration; pathology: inflammatory cells, chronic inflammation dip. TCM Syndrome Differentiation in large intestine damp-based. Integrative Medicine Integrative Medicine was better than that.
