Clinical Study Of Acupoint Catgut Embedding Therapy With Slow Transit Constipation

Purpose:To search an effective treatment for STC .To have c1inica1 research of acupoint catgut embedding to cure STC. To have better promotion and popularization of acupoint catgut embedding for STC by making full use of traditional Chinese medicine's advantages.Material and method:43 STC patients who are selected from The Third Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(Coloproctological Hospital of Liaoning Province) are randomly divided into treatment group(the acupoint catgut embedding group) which are 21 cases and control group(the traditional Chinese medicine group) which are 22 cases. Acupoint catgut embedding therapy is used for treatment group and TongBianLing Capsule(Z37020641) is used for control group.To observe symptoms of two groups before and after treatment and record total scores. To analyze by using SPSS18.0.Results:1.Total effective rate of treatment group is 95.24% and control group is 68.18%.Clinical curative effect of two groups have conspicuous statistical significance(P<0.01).2.To compare total scores of two groups before treatment P>0.05,So two groups have not statistical significance before treatment.3.To compare total scores of two groups after treatment P<0.01, So two groups have conspicuous statistical significance after treatment.4.To compare total scores of each group before and after treatment all P<0.01,so the cure of treatment group and control group are all effective.5.The total score reducing of treatment group is more than control group so that the curative effect of treatment group(the acupoint catgut embedding group) is better than control group(the traditional Chinese medicine group). Conclusion:1. Acupoint catgut embedding which cures STC has conspicuous curative effect.2.Acupoint catgut embedding which cures STC is easy to be accepted by patients.3. Acupoint catgut embedding which cures STC is worth to have penetrating research and spread among the people.
