Object:To observe the efficacy and safety on slow transit constipation treated by intensive catgut embedding.Methods:84patients with slow transit constipation were randomly divided into2groups.In treatment group patients were treated by intensive catgut embedding. In control group patients were treated by acupuncture. In treatment group patients need teated once for a course of treatment. In control group patients need treated by acupuncture7days for a course of treatment.Observe follow-up for the efficacy and safety in the fifth days after treatment、first month after treatment and third months after treatmen.Evaluation2groups in patient satisfaction scores, in improving of sick sympotom scores, in percent of qualification use gastrointestinal transit test.Observe adverse effect of2groups after treatment. Results:In the fifths days after treatment,the2group of difference is no significant in3observation index, the disparity of2group is unsatisfactory (P>0.05).In the first month after treatment, patients from treatment group give3.83±0.50for satisfaction score, the score is higher than the group which treated with acupuncture, and the difference was significant (P<0.05);Also in the first month after treatment, patients from treatment group give4.05±1.26for score of improving of sick sympotom. the score is lower than the group which treated with acupuncture, and the difference was significant (P<0.05);In the first month after treatment, the percent of qualification with GITT from treatment group is34.1%higher than the group which treated with acupuncture, and the difference was significant (P<0.05);In the third month after treatment, patients from treatment group give3.71±0.81for satisfaction score, the score is higher than the group which treated with acupuncture, and the difference was significant (P<0.05);In the third month after treatment, patients from treatment group give3.63±1.09for score of improving of sick sympotom. the score is lower than the group which treated with acupuncture, and the difference was significant (P<0.05);In the third month after treatment, the percent of qualification with GITT from treatment group is39%higher than the group which treated with acupuncture, and the difference was significant (P<0.05).No severe adverse events were discovered in2groups. Conclusion:The treatment of intensive catgut embedding in STC is safety and effective. This treatment have a lasting curative effect...
