Purpose:To research and discuss the curative effect on the innovation of acupoint catgut embedding for the clinical treatment of slow transit constipation. To compare the efficacy among traditional Chinese medicine medicated line embedding group, ordinary catgut embedding group and acupuncture group. To search for a new effective method for the treatment of slow transit constipation.Material and method:According to the random number table, 60 patients with STC were divided into 3 groups, each group 20 cases.Acupoint selections:Dachangshu,Tianshu,Zusanli,Zhongwan,Qihai,Guanyuan. The traditional Chinese medicine medicated line embedding group(short as the medicated line embedding group)used catgut soaked in rhubarb decoction to embed acupoint catgut.Ordinary catgut embedding group(short as the catgut group)was not through special processing of catgut to embed acupoint catgut, acupuncture group of the same point with common filiform needle.Observe the main indexes(constipation symptom score, colonic transmission rate)and secondary index(psychological assessment)before and after treatment in three groups, and follow up for 6 months on the main index.Results:1. Gender, age and the course of disease before treatment among the three groups were comparable(P>0.05).2. Total scores of constipation symptoms of three groups patients, 1 month after treatment compared with before treatment, was significantly improved(P<0.05).Medicated line embedding group was better than catgut group and catgut group was better than acupuncture group(P<0.05). 3 months, 6 months follow-up after treatment showed that the total scores of constipation in the acupuncture group had no significant difference with before treatment(P>0.05), recurrence of symptoms.3. Colonic transmission rate of three groups patients,1 month after treatment compared with before treatment, was improved(P<0.05). Medicated line embedding group was better than catgut group and catgut group was better than acupuncture group(P<0.05). 3 months, 6 months follow-up after treatment showed that the acupuncture group colonic transmission rate had no significant difference with before treatment(P>0.05), the colonic transmission rate was recurrence.4. Depression, anxiety scores of three groups patients after treatment compared with before treatment was improved(P<0.05). No obvious difference was found among each group scores(P>0.05).5. All the three groups of treatment in slow transit constipation have obvious clinical efficacy. The total effective rate were 83.33%, 78.95%, 70.59%; The cured and markedly effective rate of medicated line embedding group was72.22%,catgut group was 42.11% and acupuncture group was 41.18%.The cured and markedly effective rate of medicated line embedding group was significantly higher than catgut group and acupuncture group.Conclusion:1.The three groups are all effective in the treatment of slow transit constipation and also effective for constipation symptoms, colonic transmission rate and psychological state.2.The medicated line embedding group in improving the symptoms of constipation, increasing colonic transmission rate and the total efficiency is superior to the catgut group, and catgut group is better than the acupuncture group.3.Improving the psychological state of patients in three groups have no obvious difference.4.Follow up shows that medicated line embedding group and catgut group curative effect are stable, however, the acupuncture group is not stable, easy to relapse.
