Objectives: A randomized method was used to observe the efficacy of dermal needle matching cotton moxibusting A-shi points for the treatment of neurodermitis.Methods: All 110 patients were divided into treatment group and control group randomly, 98 accomplished and 12 missing. Treatment group gave dermal needle matching cotton moxibusting in Ashi points, 3 time a week and total 4 weeks. Control group treated with Triamcinolone and Urea Cream , 2 times a day for 4 weeks. Symptom-and-sign scale, Digital photograph, were used to evaluate the clinical efficacy.Results: (1) The level from baseline of the treatment group was similar to that of the control (P>0.05). (2) The effective rate of treatment group was 94.00%, and the effective rate of the control group was 72.92%. There was significant defference between the two groups (P<0.05). (3) The treatment group in 3 and 6 month recurrence was significantly lower than the control group.Conclusion: (1) dermal needle matching cotton moxibusting can obviously improve symptoms of neurodermitis. (2) dermal needle matched cotton moxibusting was safty in use. (3) The dermal needle matching cotton moxibusting group in 3 and 6 month recurrence was significantly lower than the control group.
