Study On The Establishment Of The Shanghai Nurses Hierarchical Classification Management System

Background With the social and medical development in China,the number of nurse has increased,the level of nursing education are also constantly improving,and the content of nurses' work has become more specialized and specific.However,the use of human resources of nurses and its management still have the room for improvement.The conflict between the use of nurses and the development of nursing education, and the conflict between the development of nursing education and development of clinical nursing practice have been paid more attention. Since specifications of the nurses are different,it should also be different in use of nurses by a corresponding ability to use hierarchical.Nurses should have different tasks based on their different levels of capacity.The training of nurses should be in accordance with the patient's care needs.These are the important issues in nursing professional development.Objectives To develop a framework of nurses' classification system for nurses.To set up entering criteria,competency criteria and the corresponding work,evaluation criteria and income criteria for nurses in each level.Methods Delphi technique was used.Using common sense and practical experience,logic,strict access standards,50 experts were chosen in the study.Three rounds questionnaire process were implemented.Rresults The response rates in three rounds were 94%,100%and 94 %,the authority factor was greater than 0.7.The average score of competency criteria in second round was 9.3106±0.4152,the variation coefficient was 0.1112±0.0411;The average score of corresponding work in second round was 9.0631±0.5232,the variation coefficient was 0.1423±0.0535.The average score of competency criteria in third round was 9.4845±0.3717,the variation coefficient was 0.0502±0.0149, The average score of corresponding work in third round was 9.2784±0.4465,the variation coefficient was 0.0551±0.0158.The results indicated that the concordant of the specialists' opinions was good and the results were desirable.Conclusion The framwork of classification for nurses has been astablished theoretically.The results obtained from the study will provide evidence for development of relative policy.
