| Objective:To observe the curative effect and safety of JinMeiXiaoKe Decoction( pill) to Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus through comparison with fglipizide, and explore the mechanism and offer the scientific basis for the further improvement and clinic application of JinMeiXiaoKe Decoction( pill).Methods:90 diagnosis patients whose blood sugar did not reach the standard with the two weeks treatment of diet and exercise were included and randomly divided into 3 groups: the herb, the western medicine group and the combination group .There were 30 patients in each group without significant differences in sex, age, symptom pattern among three groups ( P>0.05 ) .The patients in the herb group treated with JinMeiXiaoKe Decoction(or pill); the western medicine group patients treated with glipizide ; the combination group patients treated with both of two medicines.After three monthes, we compare the differences among three groups, including the symptoms and some inspections, and study the data with statiatical analyses.Results:1. The total effective rate of the herb group in the symptom-signs is 86.67%, the combination group' s is 90%, the two groups better than the western group (P<01.05).2. Total groups have showed statistical significance in terms of decrease2HPG and HbAlc after the treatment .Comparing the three groups , the western medicine group and the combination group have significant differences with the herb group(p<0.05).3.
