Objective: To evaluate the influence of the Chinese traditional medicine to the Lipotoxicity and insulin resistance in early time of type 2 diabetes mellitus on the base of using west medince.Methods: A randomized, doubled-blind and placebo controlled trial was conducted. The group used west medicine simplifies and the other one combined with Chinese medicine are in the ratio of 1 to 1. One hundred and eight patients were admitted in the test. And one hundred and four finished the whole investigation. Among these patients, fifty-three were divided randomly into the Chinese and west medicine group and others into the west medicine group. The whole course of treatment is six months with subsequent visit every month. The observed indexes include both curative effect indexes, such as clinic symptoms, FBG, 2KPBG, BP HbA1c, TC, TG, FFA, TNF-α and F-Ins and safety indexes, such as routine urine, blood and stool test, ECG, the function of live and kidney and harmful reaction.Results: Liuweidihuang pills and Ginkgo biloca leave preparations have the trend of regulating the blood lipid metabolism, reduction lipotoxicity and insulin resistance (IR) in the west and Chinese medicine group, in which TC, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, and FFA and TNF-α though without statistical difference compared with the control group. Also no difference in the safety indexes. But can reduce FFA and TNF-α with statistical difference compared with the themselves group in former and behind.Conclusion: liuweidihuang pills and Ginkgo biloca leave preparation can regulate the blood lipid metabolism reduces lipotoxicity and have the trend of reduction IR.
