The atlanto-axial joint disorder is a idiopathy that the micro-transposition from atlanto-axial joint to atlanto-occipital joint and the injury , strain and anaplasia of the peripheral issue leads to stoke, diziness, vomiting,etc. The old people happen frequantly, eapecially the workers hung the head do. The disease incidence increased year by year. 30% of the cervical spondylosis is atlanto-axial joint disorder [1], and the age goes young. The clinical research by 30 years proves that acupotomy is effect for the atlanto-axial joint disorder. This task under the guide of the tutor is the clinical research of acupotomy in treating atlanto-axial joint disorder. Explore the effective method for atlanto-axial joint disorder. Method: The peripheral issue was dissoluted by th acopotomy and manipulated according to the special typing of acupotomy, and clinical random comparison. The effect was evaluated by the relief degree of the clinical symptom, the signs, the mouth-open projection and the vertebral doppler alcohol. Results:45 cases were divided to the acupotomy group and the drug group at random.21 cases were treated by acupotomy and 10 cases were cured, 5 cases were effective, 3 cases were improve, 3cases were inefficacy. After the treatment, the cured rate was 47.7%, the effectual rate was 23.8% and the total effective rate was 85.8%.24 cases were treated by drug and 1 cases were cured, 2 cases were effective, 5 cases were improve, 16cases were inefficacy. After the treatment, the cured rate was 4.2%, the effectual rate was 8.4% and the total effective rate was 33.4%. It proves that the effect of acupotomy is better than the effect of drug.
