Xiaotong Sanjie Soup I, Ii Stage Treatment Of Mammary Glands Clinical Studies

This paper consists of two parts: a summary of cyslomastopathy andclinic therapy research. It aims at summing up plenty experience ofTreatment of Cyslomastopathy with Traditional Chinese Medicine, anddeveloping the effective medicines for cure of this disease. Part Ⅰreviews recent decade progresses about understanding andresearching of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Modern Medicine onCyclomastopathy, including etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis,classification as well as treatment theories and methods. The advancedresearch progress, particularly on the explanations of modern famous TCMdoctors on the etiology and pathogenesis of Cyclomastopathy, as well assyndrome of differenfiation have been presented and summarized. Part Ⅱ guided by the modern TCM theory, referenced by the review,desiqns XiaoTongSanJieTang (XTSJT) with therapeutic principles ofactivating qi and promoting blood circulation, relieving pain andresolving masses, tonifying the liver and kidney, and regulating Chongand Ren meridians. Tiao Li Chong Ren. Two different type ofXiaoTongSanJieTang, XTSJT A and XTSJT B, have been prepared and deliveredto the patients according to the catamenia period for treating of theCyclomastopathy by stages; a control group, taking with RuPiXiao tablet,was set. The curative effect is determined by the looking into clinicsymptom, bodysign, integral change before cure and after cure. From January, 2002 to December, 2004, totally 200 patients who cameto visit the galactophore special clinic of Beijing Meitan GeneralHospital for treating of Cyclomastopathy, for whom the possibility tobe patients with breast cancer or mammary tumour have been excluded byColour Doppler Ultrasonic Determination. Being the clinical observationobjects. 100 patients have been chosen randomly for treating withXTSJT, and another 100 patients for treating with RuPiXiao tablet, ascontrol group. As a result, the total effective rate of XTSJT treating group isas high as 94%, while the total effective rate of control group is only60%, which shows that the curative effect of XTSJT treating group is muchbetter than the control group, P<0.01. The result shows us an excellentcurative effect of XTSJT for treatment of Cyclomastopathy.
