The Remote Mechanism Of Action Of Laser Acupuncture Research

After the first ruby laser was invented by T.H.Maiman in 1960, laser attract extensive attention by biological researchers all over the world with its superiority to common light. Before long, laser began to apply in biological research field, which cause the naissance of a new subject-laser-biology. As many articles on physiological function of laser published and various conferences proceeded, laser-biology has improved greatly. On the background, laser-acupuncture spring up as a new style treatment. In 1975, Doctor Plog cooperated with a physicist invent a therapeutic equipment, and developed laser-acupuncture by mini laser-beam impulse acupuncture-point instead of Chinese traditional acupuncture. In the following days, laser-acupuncture was extensively applied in clinical medicine, which received great effect. Compared with Chinese traditional acupuncture, laser-acupuncture has comprehensive prospect of application.In this paper, particularly from 'pressure' and 'electricity' angle, we have a qualitative and quantitative analysis on the physical mechanism of laser-acupuncture based on Chinese traditional acupuncture.In chapterl and 2, we review the history of formation and development of laser-acupuncture in brief. In addition, effect of laser-biology, purpose of the article and some main properties of laser is introduced.In chapter3, we have a thorough discussion on the optical properties of cuticle, cuticular layer and true skin layer on the basis of Kubeika-Muank model. At the mean time, we illustrate the physical characteristics of acupuncture-point from the angle of pressure, electro-magnetism, thermo logy and medium effect et al.In chapter4, pressure of laser is studied. From the angle of pressure of laser light, expansion pressure, pressure of electrostriction and pressure of scatter, pressure of laser is studied. Expression of laser burst was unfolded and analyzed.Through analyzing, acoustic effect of laser was gained. According to the results, physical model of laser pressure was constituted. Through studying, two conclusions were drew: one is bidirection of acoustic wave conduction; the other is telekinesy. These meet mechanism of Chinese traditional acupuncture.In chapter 5, according to conclusions upward, combining electromagnetism of acupuncture-point, we investigate the remote-action mechanism of laser-acupuncture on the basis of knowledge of circuit and electromagnetic. The cells are excitable on the acupoint. When these cells were stimulated, permeability of pericelluar membrane was altered, free charge (negative) rapidly increased. One is capability of conduction on the acupoint was enhanced, low resistance wire in the cuticle and this accupoint was short circuit, the other action potential was formed. Under the effect of electrical field, excitation threshold of excitable cell under low resistance wire was reduced, then action potential was rapidly transferred in turn. Information between laser and biology was transferred to focus. The purpose of therapy was reached.Moreove, oscillogram of action potential was approximatly treated, laser-acupuncture remote action mechanism was obtained.In chapter six ,the other effects of acupuncture were discussed.In chapter seven,expectation of laser-acupuncture's aplication in some fields in the future was presented.
