| This dissertation describes a portable emergency ECG monitor developed by using the single chip computer AT89C51 and the liquid crystal graphic display (LCD). It can provide immediate, accurate, high resolution display of ECG waveforms and numeric displays of the main ECG parameters via the automatic ECG analyzing and processing technology. The instrument also has various functions, such as arrhythmia monitoring, emergency treatment of acute myocardial infarction(AMI), alarm parameters setting and abnormal ECG waves saving to provide historical data for doctors. It has the advantages of little volume and low cost and is especially suitable for household monitoring and diagnosis and monitoring in emergency cases. The hardware and software design of the instrument are presented. |
