Backgrounds: The incidence of cardiovascular disease increases every year especially acute myocardial infraction (AMI), but we are still lack of epidemical investigations about it in China. Although great progresses were made in diagnosis and treatment, the death rate and expenditure of AMI are still very high. Objectives : To investigate epidemiology and influent factors, speciality of lab test and therapeutic effect of AMI to provide a scientific basis to the effective measures for diagnosis and treatmentMethods: 457 AMI cases in our unit from Jan. 2002 to Dec. 2007 were included in this investigation, and we followed up these cases to Analyse the outcomes related to past history, risk factors, lab tests, and therapeutic effect of PCI and drug. Results: Incidence of AMI is growing per every year; the average age of AMI is become younger and younger. Male is more likely to get AMI than female (75.72%), and younger(P=0.003). The time window is longer in CTnI than enzymes of AMI. Female patients get higher death rate than male patient (P=0.035). Hypertension, diabetes and abnormal blood fat do no good or bad in prognosis. Adapt to Lipid-Modifying Therapies can lower the mortality(P=0.038). PTCA-stent can lower the mortality; but with increase the number of stents (P=0.000), the mortality get higher(p=0.023).Conclusions: The patient of AMI is getting more and more, and the average age of AMI is become younger and younger. PTCA-stent can lower the mortality, but with increase the number of stents, the mortality get higher.
