Gastric Tcm Syndrome Distribution And Evolution

Objective To investigate the rule of the distribution and evolution of TCM syndrome characteristic with gastric cancer, and the relationships between TCM syndrome characteristic with the pathology of gastric cancer, patients'ages, gender, and so on。[Methods Clinic data] 132 patients with gastric cancer, who were treated in the Capital Medical University, Beijing Chinese Medicine Hospital in oncology between2003-2010.data entry:Put the patient information (including gender, age, cancer stage, pathological type, TCM syndrome, etc.) into EXCEL entry form, application SPSS17.0 statistical analysis statistical software distribution of TCM, and the relationships of TCM syndrome and gastric cancer staging,age, sex and so on.[Result] With gastric, the most common syndrome is the interior retention of toxin stagnation.6 case(4.5%) in disharmony between liver and stomach,44cases (33.3%) for syndrome of deficiency cold in spleen and stomach,50 cases (37.9%)for interior retention of toxin stagnation,32 cases (24.2%) in the deficiency both qi and blood. With advanced gastric, the most common syndrome is the deficiency in both qi and blood(45.2%),the second is interior retention of toxin stagnation(30.8%), next is deficiency cold in spleen and stomach(24.0%), the syndrome of disharmony between liver and stomach is not seen. After the western medicine treatment, the main syndrome is deficiency syndrome, the first is the deficiency both qi and blood syndrome,81.2%; next is the syndrome of deficiency cold in spleen and stomach,17.9%; only 1 case (0.9%)is the interior retention of toxin stagnation.The syndrome was significantly associated with age:the syndrome of interior retention of toxin stagnation is most seen both in18-40 years old (young patients) and in 41-65 years (middle-aged patients) patients. But the deficiency both qi and blood syndrome is common in the elderly patients over 65 years. This study showed that TCM was no significant correlation with sex.[Conclusion]1. The most common syndrome in the early gastric cancer is the disharmony between liver and stomach. The main syndrome with advanced gastric cancer is the deficiency cold in spleen and stomach,and interior retention of toxin stagnation. The deficiency both qi and blood is common seen in the forth stage. 2. Empirical syndrome are common in the young patients, another, the deficiency syndrome are common in the elderly patients.3.there is no significant correlation between syndrome and differentiation, pathological types.4. After the western medicine treatment, the main syndrome is deficiency syndrome.
