The rank of Modern ports especially large-scale ones is more and more outstanding. The operation and management in ports or terminals is getting integrated with a long chain of transportation and storage distribution.Dalian port is the leader of northeastern economic districts in openness. As the thruster and connector serving modern logistics industry, Dalian port is a northeastern joint of transportation by two basic models, between land transportation and waterway, which covers comprehensive functions such as port function, multi-models transportation, cargo collection and distribution, transshipment, storage, functions as freight forwarding and vessel agency, information service and EDI, producing, life-supporting conditions.●The article analyses current situation and development demand of bulk and general cargo operation information management system in Dalian Port on the basis of home and oversees bulk and general cargo operation information management system, Dalian port group enterprise strategy and demand of business development and enterprise management. Under the guidance of master plan and fractional step implementation strategy, the article also is carried out constructive planning of Dalian Port bulk and general cargo operation information management system and program practice. The thesis covers Dalian port internal production and business system, external information exchange platform with multi-technologies such as handheld technology, radio frequency technology, EDI ect.
