The Research Of Port Bulk Cargo Transportation System Based On Internet Of Things

As a key link in the integrated transport chain, ports play an important role in the development of the national economy and a more and more predominant in the distribution. With the rapid development of global economic integration and information, the port economy presents the diversity of competitive factors and the internationalization of business. The improvement of informationization can undoubtedly make service level higher, and then strengthen the whole competitive strength.Internet of Things is an important part of the new generation of information technology. With the popularization of its concept and related technologies becoming more mature, more and more application of things has appeared. The emergence of Internet of things has provided new ideas for the development of modern transport industry and it will become the new entry point of modern transportation in the future. Port enterprises should seize this opportunity to accelerate the information construction and enhance the intelligent level of ports.At present, Internet of things is mainly used on the container transport business, while there are few applications on the transport of bulk cargo. This paper is set in the investigation of Guangzhou Port Group, uses the Internet of things to design and build the framework for the bulk cargo transport system.This paper describes the background of this research at the beginning, and then analyzes the current study situation of theories relating to it. The next, considered the practical situation of Guangzhou Port, the author summarizes the main business types and problems of the current bulk cargo transport system. Then the necessity and feasibility of this application are obtained. After this, the existing business processes are been optimized to meet the needs of the new technical implementation. On this basis, the system of bulk cargo transport is build based on the Internet of Things. In the end, the paper summarizes the results of this research, and raises the potential improvement of this technology in the future.
